A note from Silvana

Bar & Bed... that's what we've become - and we couldn't be more excited.

Overnight guests still enjoy our fantastic continental breakfast with freshly cooked eggs.

We're now Serving Crust & Cow - catch this fantastic pop-up every Tuesday until Saturday from 4:30 PM (eat-in or takeaway).

We've got a variety of events lined up, all updated on our calendar.

We can't wait to welcome you.

Inside this caramel stone house is a true destination. The traditional and contemporary rub together throughout, paying homage to the building's 14th-century roots. The seaside isn't far and Hardy's Wessex lies all around.

Frequently Asked

The Cogs

What are your opening hours?

We are open seven days a week, year-round from 8am until late.

Do you take reservations for the bar?

The bar/lounge/garden generally operate on a walk-in basis. However, groups (large or small) can be booked in advance via reception.

Are dogs welcome?

Absolutely. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the main bar, the garden and on the terrace. We keep a bowl of water behind the bar - just ask.

Can we eat in the bar?

Yes. Our full bar snacks menu is available throughout the evening. We also offer Crust & Cow (our resident pop-up) Tuesday until Saturday in the evenings.

Do you have non-alcoholic options?

Of course. We stock a carefully curated selection of non-alcoholic spirits, cocktails, beers, and soft drinks.

Is there parking nearby?

We have a small car park on site - which is usually occupied by our overnight guests. Alternatively, there is parking a short walk away in the Beaminster Square.

Can we hire a space for a private event?

Yes. All of our spaces can be reserved exclusively for private gatherings of all sizes. Contact us to discuss availability and requirements.

What happened to the restaurant?

Unfortunately, due to the economic climate and struggles of the hospitality industry, we made the difficult decision to close our kitchen and focus on other areas of the business.
